Napster’s App Is Making Its AI Agents Easier to Talk To
A new update adds in-app chat and Crews built for productivity and learning. And pricing doesn’t budge.

In January, Napster took one of its initial bold steps into redefining itself as an AI company with the release of its first major mobile app update. Today, that process continues, with the rollout of even more ways to interact with Napster’s AI agents and Crews designed to make your life easier. Some of the new features include:
- The launch of Crews, a personalized bundle of agents designed to help with specific aspects of your day. The Life, Tutor, and Music Crew launch today, with additional Crews set to release as Napster gets user feedback on those three.
- New chat functionality that allows users to communicate with agents across chats via talk or text.
- A full redesign with design and functionality improvements across the app.
The Napster App’s capabilities are changing, but pricing isn’t. The new features come free with users’ existing packages.
Check out a more detailed breakdown below.

New Life and Tutor Crews
Two new bundled agent Crews are joining the lineup: a Life Crew built around day-to-day productivity and a Tutor Crew designed to help secondary and higher-ed students. The Crew format significantly expands the capabilities of the original Napster App agents and puts together a bundle of AI assistants that can collaborate with users on specific tasks, rather than going to individual agents for each problem.
For example, if someone needs help with their fitness goals, they can go straight to a Fitness Coach in the Life Crew to receive a tailored workout. Need to troubleshoot a tech glitch? Tech Support can be on hand to fix that dropped or weak WiFi. Crews help eliminate some of the guesswork about which agent can be most helpful for a broader problem, and Napster will look to roll out additional Crews based on what users need and how they work with the existing Crews.

Chat comes to the Napster app
With this update comes a chat functionality, which customizes the app experience depending on what each user needs to access.

More intuitive music-creation flow
The Music Crew is just a part of what the Napster App can do, but that creation flow has been improved, too. Users can now converse directly with a musician or producer and generate a track in their preferred style through a simple, conversational flow, and get one song back to work with rather than two separate versions. Users can create their own tracks as well as playlists in their library and decide if, and how, to share those with the world.
