Napster Heads to Microsoft Ignite With Omniagents: AI That Gets It All Done in One Conversation
Meet the Omniagent at Microsoft Ignite 2026. See live demos at Booth 1754 (R), hear from CTO Edo Segal, and join the Napster API hackathon.

Let’s do a little thought experiment: A couple is shopping for wedding bands. They find a big-name jewelry store and browse their website. The next day, they call the store to ask about sizing and personalized engraving options. A week later, they walk into the store to see the rings themselves in the hopes of making a purchase.
That’s typically how a purchase like this goes: thoughtful, but also needlessly tedious and fragmented. Each step of this process starts over from scratch; the person they spoke with on the phone doesn’t know what they looked at online. And the salesperson in the store has no idea what they called about days earlier. That’s three different interactions with three strangers.
At Microsoft Ignite 2026, Napster will show what happens when that conversation happens with one agent, across all those surfaces, with memory of every interaction they’ve ever had with that customer.
Napster is bringing the Omniagent to Ignite: the same agent, with a face, a voice and memory, on a website, a phone line, an app or a store counter. Alongside Microsoft, we're building a through-line for the whole customer experience that, right now, is otherwise available only by stringing together multiple AI solutions.
With an Omniagent, that couple looking for their perfect set of rings doesn’t have to reintroduce themselves every time they interact with the store. The agent already knows who they are, what they’re looking for, and how to speed up the process. But that’s just one piece of what Napster is bringing to Moscone Center on Nov. 17-20 in San Francisco. . Here’s what else to expect.
At the booth: three products, one agent
Three products share the floor at Booth 1754 (R). All of them run on the same Omniagent.
- Napster API. One API puts an agent with video, voice, and memory in your app, on your site, and on your phone line. It's available as an Azure Native Integration through Microsoft Marketplace and via self-service on the Napster website.
- Napster App. A crew of AI specialists with video, memory, and real personality. They take on long tasks and finish them. Napster will also share some exciting updates to the app as part of the Ignite experience.
- Napster Station. An AI concierge for physical spaces. It sees, hears, and greets visitors (even on a loud, busy floor).
Stop by and watch them work live.
On stage: the case for agents that improve themselves
The AI industry is most afraid of a future in which the tech we’ve created can improve upon itself, without the help of human workers.
Napster Chief Technology Officer Edo Segal will make the case for a future that involves humans and AI working in tandem, and AI adopting a similar on-the-job learning process to that of the real employees it works alongside. Here’s what that looks like: The agent works inside a closed environment. A person signs off on what it learns before any of it reaches a customer. The roughly 20-minute session will include a live demo.
The Napster team, including CEO John Acunto, also has multiple other appearances in the works and will share details closer to the conference.
The hackathon: give a workflow a face and a voice
Following the success of Napster’s hackathon during Microsoft Build, the team is back for Ignite with a chance to win a Steam Deck, Microsoft Surface, Napster API credits, and more.
Like at Build, the Napster API Ignite Hackathon runs alongside Microsoft’s event, but is a global virtual competition. The rules are simple: Pick a real-wold problem that an Omniagent can solve. Build that agent, with a face and voice, using the Napster API. Participants who submit a complete entry earn $250 USD of Napster API credits just for competing, while the first, second, and third-place finishers will get more credits and gear to go with their bragging rights.
What to submit: A hosted, runnable build, a demo video of three minutes or less, a link to your repo, and a written summary of 500 words or fewer.
Prizes: The top three builds win hardware plus Napster API credits: $1,000 for first place, $750 for second, and $500 for third. Everyone who completes a submission gets $250 in API credits.
What you keep: Everything. You own what you build, and you’re free to open-source it.
Key dates:
- Registration closes Nov. 25.
- Submissions close Nov. 30.
- Judging runs Nov. 30 to Dec. 8.
- Winners are announced Dec. 9.
Register on our Ignite page. The hackathon is sponsored by Napster; see the official rules for details.
